Absolutely nothing beats walking out to your yard, empty basket in hand, and “shopping” in your garden for that day’s meal. It never gets old, and I only grow more thankful with each and every harvest. Here are some of the vegetables currently growing in our garden, along with a few of our favorite varieties from over the years.

Herbs are the perfect garden plant. It’s as simple as that. Most of these amazingly incredible plants are not only food for your body and soul, they’re also fairly self-sufficient in the garden for the most part. My garden wouldn’t be complete without these favorite friends.

Flowers feed the soul, but the bees, butterflies and birds too…and who doesn’t want more of those beauties flocking around? My love of growing flowers only blooms larger by the year. This year will be our largest planting of flowers yet. Here’s a peek at some of what’s growing on in our garden.
